History
The Village of Sleepy Hollow
The Village of Sleepy Hollow is nestled in the rolling green hills west of Dundee. Its
park-like residential setting adjacent to Spring Hill Mall features residential park,
premium quality homes and attractive sites set aside for office development.
Once the Polivaka, Pettiti, Winmoor and Whitney farm neighborhood. Sleepy Hollow was
founded and incorporated in 1958 by Floyd Falese. Falese captured the Legend of Sleepy
Hollow in naming many of the village's sites, such as Sleepy Hollow, Crane Drive, Van
Tassel Road, Lake Legend, and Lake Icabod. This legend remains alive in the picturesque,
rural charm of Sleepy Hollow.
